The Context

Hi Everyone! If you have stumbled upon my page, you may be struggling in some sort of way, and also may view yourself as a minority of some sort. Whether it is due to racial ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability, just know that this page is a total safe space for all.

Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. First off, I have decided to keep this page totally anonymous. In my community, I would be entirely ostracized for speaking out on these types of daily issues, and as a result I think it would be better to keep my identity hidden. What I can share though, is that I recently moved to Texas, and faced a total cultural reset. So much so, I felt prompted to share my experiences on what it is like coming to a new area, and feeling like you are totally different then everyone else there. These personal anecdotes may not be groundbreaking news stories, but rather exemplify normalized hardships that people who do not fit the mold go through everyday. I hope this can help other teenagers in need who are struggling with their identities and fitting in.
